Laura received her Master of Arts in Clinical Social Work from the University of Chicago, and her bachelor’s degree in Religion from Calvin College. She combines a knowledge and passion for holistic health with her belief that every person is capable of change and possesses unique strengths. In therapy, Laura works to provide a safe environment where personal meaning, growth, and change are possible.

Over the course of her career, Laura has worked in schools, community mental health, churches, and the private sector. The majority of her work involves psychodynamic talk and play therapies with children, teens, adults, and couples. She has additional experience leading psycho-educational groups, and providing counseling for weight loss and athletic performance enhancement. She is trained in Brainpaint Neurofeedback therapy. Laura specializes in work with child trauma, abuse, and behavioral problems, relationship issues, anxiety/depression, religion/spiritual dilemmas, and Christian counseling.

Jessica López, LPC, NCC, CAMS-II


I have a person centered approach and am dedicated to helping you learn skills to handle and cope through tough seasons in your life in effort to reach optimal well-being. I am bilingual (Spanish speaking), bi-cultural and believe in the importance of culturally sensitivity when implementing a therapeutic approach. My professional experience is working with individuals, families and couples. In addition, I have experience working with ages ranging from five years old to adulthood. I work with individuals struggling with mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, adjustment disorders, impulse control issues, poor self-esteem, anger management, multicultural issues, life transitions and couples/marriage counseling.

I have a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have experience working in a crisis team for a hospital setting, non for profit agency /mental health center, juvenile justice system and in school settings. I have attended professional development for expressive art modalities. Furthermore, I am NAMA certified in Anger Management and have training under The Gottman Institute for couples and marriage counseling.

I tailor my treatment to the presenting issues you are struggling with by utilizing evidence practice base methods among other expressive art modalities. My goals is to normalize human experience and improve quality of life. I have an active form of therapy and believe in working as a team in effort to reach the life you want to live and reach personal growth as you explore within. I am here to provide a supportive environment for you in your journey.
